JEFFREY S. SUCHMAN (President)
Jeffrey Suchman formed The Suchman Group in 1995 to continue his pursuit of the acquisition, development and management of real estate in New York City and the surrounding area.
The Suchman Group has served as a consultant to The Related Companies since 1998. For the past six years, their focus has been on sourcing potential acquisitions and development sites including the structuring of creative joint venture opportunities. Included in these activities has been the acquisition of 85 Tenth Avenue, a six hundred thousand square foot office building in Manhattan’s thriving meat packing area as well as the marketing of a development site measuring over 1 million buildable square feet. In addition, The Suchman Group has leased and managed several existing properties for Related.
Prior to this position, Mr. Suchman was Chief Operating Officer of Aegis Realty, a publicly traded shopping center REIT managed by Related. Mr. Suchman was named Vice President in 1999 where he was responsible for the financial evaluation and due diligence of potential shopping center acquisitions. In this role, Mr. Suchman was responsible for acquiring 13 shopping centers and a regional mall.
Additional noteworthy transactions have been the leasing of 25,000 square feet of retail space at Rockefeller Center to The Commonwealth Brewing Company and The Beacon Theater to Cablevision.
From 1987-1995, Mr. Suchman held positions with the Macklowe Organization as a Vice President and Rockrose Development Corp., as an Assistant Vice President, participating in acquisitions and asset management. From 1985-1987 he was employed by Helmsley-Spear, Inc., involved in commercial leasing and sales.
Mr. Suchman received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from New York University and a Master of Business Administration from Fordham University.
